PIC16F877 programmation

Problems or tips related to the use of WxPic

I wrote the report #0000053 in the bug tracker to keep the problem in mind. But I allocate it to the version V2 where I plan to rework completely the configuration of WxPic. This is not for tomorrow because I am busy on another project.

I have just downloaded and uncompressed the file to check that it is not corrupted and all is OK. But the file is not a zip file. It is compressed with 7zip an open source compressor that you can find here.

Hello,

SOrry, the Zip file was ok, i just made a mistake !
I replace the WxPic.exe file and selectd the right file config.
SUrprise, i have manage to read my pic and program my 16f877. I am really happy, i have just to wait your new release with this implementation.
IcProg is not really wrking nice with this hardware that's why i have decided fisrt to install WxPic instead.

That you very much for your help.
I stay in touch for the good release.

Thanks for the feedback. I am glad that you succeeded to program your PIC.
The change was not too complex. I have just changed a 0xFF to a 0x00 :D

Hello,

So you think you could build a new release with the Pro Pic2 Programer support soon? :D

Thanks

No I don't think so. A clean fix requires much more than the simple patch I gave you. It is planned only for next major version.
But until you use your programmer you should have no problem with the patched executable. It will also work with the other configuration (Tait's programmer) when you are programming the smaller PICs. I'll keep the executable available in this forum at least until the final fix is available so if ever you loose it you can get it back there.
